Research Grant 2027

The Sri Lanka Dental Association (SLDA) invites applications for competitive research grants in dentistry for the year 2027. Two (02) research grants will be awarded in the following categories:

1. 1. Clinical / Laboratory-Based Research
2. 2. Public Health / General Dental Practice-Based Research

Eligibility

The applicant shall:

1. 1. Be the Principal Investigator (PI) of the proposed research project.
2. 2. Be a Life Member of the Sri Lanka Dental Association (SLDA).
3. 3. Propose research that is relevant to his/her field of work or specialt

If there are co-investigators, they should be Life Members or Associate/Annual Members of the SLDA.

Grant Amount

The maximum grant amount and project duration are as follows:

• Clinical / Laboratory-Based Research: Up to Rs. 400,000/-
• Public Health / General Dental Practice-Based Research: Up to Rs. 150,000/-

The grant will be awarded for a period of one year, with the possibility of an extension for a further year depending on the circumstances and progress of the project.

Application Requirements

The application should include:

• Duly completed application form
• Research project proposal
• Full CV of the Principal Investigator
• Brief CVs of all co-investigators
• Proof of ethical clearance
• Any other relevant supporting documents
